Breaking News: Eagles Address Jalen Hurts Speculation Following Kenny Picketts…

The Philadelphia Eagles were already one of the strongest teams in the NFL, but they continued to add quality to their roster.

The Eagles’ trade for Kenny Pickett was the only one that threw me off at first. This deal sparked conjecture about Jalen Hurts, but GM Howie Roseman shut it down totally.

He stated, “[Jalen Hurts] is our franchise quarterback.” I don’t think anything changes Jalen in terms of who we bring in at quarterback. We have a lot of faith and trust in him, and we communicate with him about everything we do, just like we do with all of our players to let him know when they join the squad.”

Roseman wanted to make things clear before rumors spread out of control. Pickett is expected to be the No. 2 quarterback behind Hurts after his time in Pittsburgh did not go as planned.

Hurts is unquestionably the better player, and he is only a year removed from signing his enormous agreement. Hurts and the Eagles reached an agreement last April for a five-year, $255 million contract.

Pickett never had a chance of being the starting quarterback, so it’s a good thing Roseman quashed the rumor quickly.

Hurts, as the franchise’s face, deserves to be informed of any changes. Especially in the quarterbacks’ room.

Nonetheless, the Eagles have one of the league’s greatest teams and have a legitimate chance of reaching Super Bowl LIX. They presently have the seventh-best odds in the NFL to win the entire thing, at +1600. Go to FanDuel Sportsbook, receive your sign-up bonus, then use these odds to back the Eagles.
