I’m Leaving Atlanta Braves for L. Guillorme, Jarred Kelenic Announced His Decision
The Atlanta Braves have added Adam Duvall to their roster for the 2024 regular season, which is a stunning late-offseason move. Once more. Duvall will be joining the Braves for the third time, and he probably won’t be playing the same role as before.
In an attempt to cover for Eddie Rosarion and Kevin Pillar in the outfield, Alex Anthopoulos acquired Jarred Kelenic from the Seattle Mariners. At first, it was thought that Kelenic would be Brian Snitker’s daily starter. But with Kelenic’s severe struggles this spring, Adam Duvall was called in to offer some insurance.
You shouldn’t panic throughout spring training, and Kelenic will still have an equal chance. Duvall and Kelenic, as Rosario and Pillar did last season, will platoon in left field in 2024, according to an announcement made by the Braves organization. In the unfortunate event that Kelenic fails to live up to expectations, the Braves will have no trouble playing Adam Duvall on a daily basis.
Duvall played 92 games in 2023 with the Boson Red Sox, hitting.247 with 21 home runs and 58 RBI. He would have played in much more games and probably had greater power figures if it weren’t for an injury sustained early in the season.
Fangraphs ZiPS DC projects that in 2024, Adam Duvall will play in 65 games for the Atlanta Braves. According to our forecasts, Duvall will likely continue to be a low average, high power hitter in 2024. Duvall is expected to bat.227, with 15 home runs and 44 runs batted in, according to Fangraphs ZiPS DC.
