The Minnesota Vikings, who lost experienced signal-caller Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, also require a quarterback. With its current 11th overall pick, Minnesota is unlikely to take one of the best quarterbacks available unless it trades into the top five.
The Vikings are a match made in heaven, if the Patriots aren’t already infatuated with UNC’s Drake Maye or LSU’s Jayden Daniels. At No. 11 overall, New England may still choose an impact player and a second-tier pick.
The Patriots Talk Podcast’s most recent episode featured Vikings beat writer Alec Lewis of The Athletic talking about the possibility of Minnesota selecting higher in the draft. How much of a need do the Vikings have to get one of the best quarterbacks?
