Breaking College football world gives shocking reaction to strange Alabama transfer portal news

Former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor, who transferred from the Iowa Hawkeyes to Alabama last year and then back to Iowa earlier this year, is returning to Tuscaloosa.

Proctor started 13 games at left tackle as a true freshman, garnering All-SEC Freshman Team recognition. Proctor chose to quit Alabama once Nick Saban retired in January, but he has since changed his mind.

Proctor stated in January, when he transferred, that he was contacted by Iowa before the transfer window opened, which is an NCAA violation.

Iowa eventually self-reported the incident. Greg McElroy, a former Alabama quarterback, discussed why Proctor might have been better off returning to Iowa.

“I believe that this style will benefit Kadyn Proctor,” McElroy remarked, via Steve Samra of On3 Sports. “We’re not sure what Iowa’s offense will look like right now. But I believe that a ground and pound game where he can use his height and physicality will be more advantageous than being on an island, like he was for the Crimson Tide at times.

This development caught college football fans off guard.

Who knew Kalen DeBoer, the new head coach at Alabama, would hit the recruiting trail so hard? And, if the rumors are true, this is only the beginning of some wild college football transfer portal activity.
