It was worthwhile, in my opinion, to look ahead to the 2025 roster in order to get a feel of where the Cleveland Browns would prioritize during the draft as free agency draws to a close and we have a solid picture of the team’s 2024 squad.

After removing every player with upcoming free agency, we can clearly see which position rooms are in need of drafting a player in order to be ready for the future. In order to avoid depending on a rookie to fill a supporting position, the top NFL clubs will choose a player a year ahead of schedule, giving them a year to grow into the system.
This choice will be based on what happens with Chubb; it’s possible that he will begin the season and the first eight weeks of the season on the Physically Unable To Perform list. It is possible that they will choose a player that can be a running back in the lineup for the next four years, even if I’m not sure whether they see Ford as a long-term player.
