Great news: He Is Coming Back

Former Minnesota Vikings GM Richard Spielman  Is Coming back due to mismanagement

Josh Dobbs, a former quarterback for the Vikings who briefly rose to prominence in the league in November, has agreed to a one-year contract with the 49ers, according to an announcement made by his agent Mike McCartney on Monday. According to NFL Network, the agreement includes $750K in playing time incentives and $2.25 million in guaranteed money. This is definitely not enough money for Dobbs to be taken into account when determining compensatory picks.

For Dobbs, who will now report to Kyle Shanahan, this seems like a very wonderful place to land. He’ll probably get an opportunity to replace new Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, who filled the backup position behind Brock Purdy the previous season. The other quarterback in the San Francisco quarterback room right now is Brandon Allen.

The 29-year-old Dobbs, who was acquired from the Cardinals to help replace an ailing Kirk Cousins, shocked the country by leading the Vikings to victories against the Falcons and Saints in his first two games. His professional path was convoluted, but his expertise in aerospace engineering and his thrilling dual threat performances made for an entertaining tale. Sadly, everything collapsed, and a few weeks later, Nick Mullens replaced him on the bench.
