Kristaps Porziņģis angrily Terminate Contract with Celtics after Argument with Management
The Detroit Pistons were defeated 119-94 by the Boston Celtics on Monday. In 21 minutes, Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. The native of Latvia has missed the previous five games due to a hamstring ailment.
Jay King of The Athletic reports that Porzingis played with a limited amount of minutes against the Pistons. Boston purposely held back much of his game action until the second half.
Porzingis said that he was happy to be back at work. Additionally, he said that if the injury had happened during the playoffs, he would have been able to play through it.
Given that the Celtics have the best record in the NBA at 54-14, it is anticipated that Porzingis will have plenty of time to heal completely. They have won six straight games at this point.
The Boston Celtics will play the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden on Wednesday, March 20. The game tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
