Rafael Leao Send a transfer message to Milan after win win over Slavia Praha
An “empowered” Rafael Leao, a Portugal international, acknowledges Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud while also praising Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paolo Maldini for helping him realize how important Milan is: “I don’t even need to give them a glance.”
In the Europa League Round of 16 second leg on Thursday, Leao helped Milan defeat Slavia Praha 3-1 with an incredible curler outside the box and an assist for USMNT player Pulisic.
With ten goals and ten assists in all competitions so far this season, Sky Sport questioned Leao following the game to find out if he felt that now was his best time to play in 2023–2024.
“I believe so; Pulisic and Giroud get along well with me.” He said, as reported by Milannews, “I feel fine, and the entire squad feels great.
“My job is to support the team, even when I don’t get points or help out.” While the squad as a whole is performing well, I am content with myself.
To what extent has Stefano Pioli been crucial to him?
Leao answered, “As I always say, he’s the one who helps me the most.”
“During the past three years, he has learned how to support me in changing things. Thanks to him as well, this is a great time.
Leao did not participate in much wing play versus Slavia.
