Report: The Ravens defensive tackle Justin Madubuike Agrees to Four-Year Contract Extension due to….

Extension of Contract for Four Years Accepted by Justin Madubuike

The Ravens and renowned Pro Bowl defensive tackle Justin Madubuike have agreed to a four-year contract extension.

The stated value of the four-year contract is $98 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

General Manager Eric DeCosta said of Justin, “He’s a cornerstone on our defense and one of the best defensive tackles in the entire NFL.” “We are ecstatic for our fan base as well as for Justin and his family. What a fantastic way to kick off the new league season!”

The franchise tag had already been applied to Madubuike by the Ravens, meaning his 2024 salary would have been $22.1 million. Now that a deal with him has been reached only days before free agency begins, Baltimore has a great deal of salary-cap freedom.

Now, Baltimore will be in a stronger position to keep some of its own free agents, be able to shop more freely, and not have to restructure contracts or eliminate players in order to free up salary cap space.

Above all, the deal ensures that a budding star will remain in Baltimore for many years to come. Considering that Madubuike is only 26 years old and has gotten better every season, it seems likely that his best is still to come.

With 13 sacks during the previous season, Madubuike led the Ravens and all defensive lineman. According to Pro Football Focus, he recorded an incredible 64 quarterback pressures, 33 quarterback hits, and a pressure rate of 13.4%.
