GREAT NEWS: The New Las Vegas Head Coach Antonio Pierce Drops Cryptic Comment on Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels Attending Raiders Game

Antonio Pierce Drops Cryptic Comment on Jayden Daniels Attending Raiders Game

Antonio Pierce, the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, seems interested in the team bringing in a quarterback this summer, and there’s one that makes a lot of sense. When Pierce was at Arizona State, he recruited Jayden Daniels, a former quarterback for LSU, and the two collaborated for three seasons.

After Pierce entered the NFL and won the Heisman Trophy in 2023, Daniels transferred to LSU. Pierce was aware of the quarterback’s promising future.

Jayden Daniels went on to win the Heisman Trophy. Pierce stated, “I knew that,” in an interview with the podcast “The Rush With Maxx Crosby” on February 16.

When one of the hosts of the program brought up the fact that Daniels was present for the Raiders’ Week 18 matchup with the Denver Broncos, Pierce responded in a mysterious way.

Pierce remarked slyly, “Huh, interesting.”

Daniels, who acknowledged the coach during his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech, is obviously close to Pierce. As a player, the Raiders should definitely target him in the draft.

Jayden Daniels’ preferred team to watch is the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jayden Daniels’ interest in playing for the Raiders is not shocking. Antonio Pierce has a good understanding of the quarterback the team needs. The issue is that the Raiders don’t select until No. 13 in the first round, and Daniels is projected to be one of the top three overall picks.

That might not deter them from attempting to advance, though, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

On the February 17 episode of “Sportscenter,” via Bleacher Report, Fowler stated, “Jayden Daniels out of LSU is a name to watch, as I’ve talked to a few teams who have pointed out Antonio Pierce, who was with him at ASU back in the day, loves him.” He attended LSU, of course, won the Heisman, and might be selected in the top three. Raiders select 13th overall, thus obtaining him would require a significant leap, but it is still a possibility.

Daniels very probably won’t be selected outside of the top three, unless he has a difficult pre-draft process. To advance, the Raiders must be willing to part with a large number of assets.
