But after Stroud apparently failed the S2 cognition exam just a year prior, supporters and members of the media seriously questioned if he had what it took to succeed in the league.

In the lead-up to the 2024 NFL Draft, at least one agency is now recommending its players not to take the exam at all.

The Athletes First agency has instructed its players not to take the exam, according to Kalyn Kahler of The Athletic.

“This year, during the pre-draft evaluation process, Athletes First is instructing its NFL Draft prospects not to take part in any cognitive testing,” says Kahler. “Athletes First, one of the top agencies that represents NFL players, emailed NFL teams last month to let them know about the decision.”

Regarding his test results before the 2023 NFL Draft, Stroud stated, “A lot of people haven’t played the sport, and I mean critics are gonna critique.” “I think the movie speaks for itself. I’ve been incredibly consistent in whatever I’ve done in college. For the past two years, I believe I’ve been among the most reliable players in college football.
