Former Steelers WR Coach Frisman Jackson Finds New Team: Report
This offseason, Zach Azzanni took over for previous wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson, though, has relocated.
On February 15, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed that Jackson will be joining the Seattle Seahawks as their wide receivers coach.
Jackson will make his fourth NFL stop with Seattle. He was the Tennessee Titans’ wide receiving coach in 2017. From 2020 to 21 he played in the same capacity with the Carolina Panthers.
In 2021, Jackson served as the coordinator of the offensive pass game for the Panthers.
Jackson taught wide receivers at Pittsburgh for the previous two seasons.

In Seattle, Jackson will have a new beginning. The Seahawks, like the Steelers, have a strong duo at wide receiver in Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
Jackson will have had his longest tenure with any team if he can stay three years in his new role.
2010 saw the beginning of his college coaching career at Akron. He left the MAC league doormat after two seasons to play for Northern Illinois, which in 2012 won the MAC title game.
Jackson then attended NC State and Temple for two years each before signing with the Titans. He coached wide receivers and oversaw the passing game for Temple University.
