Missouri’s Kansas City The family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the victim of the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl championship parade, received a $100,000 donation from Taylor Swift.

Lopez-Galvan, 43, was shot on Wednesday at Union Station in the city while she and her husband, son, who is a young adult, were celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory. Lopez-Galvan was the host of the local radio program “Taste of Tejano” on KKFI-FM.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to a great number of people. The GoFundMe description says, “We are grieving her loss and ask that you keep her family in your prayers.” By Friday morning, almost $200,000 had been raised through the fundraiser.

The gunshot injured twenty-two more people, half of them were under the age of sixteen. While they are still looking for the culprit, investigators believe that a disagreement may have been the cause of the shooting. Two minors are being held by the police as they investigate whether there were any additional participants.

Swift did not attend Wednesday’s parade; she is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift watched Sunday’s Super Bowl. She is now touring Melbourne, Australia, doing a number of shows.
