Christian Horner believes he has the full backing of his wife, Geri Halliwell, following an allegation of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ against the Red Bull team principal.
The 50-year-old is currently under investigation after a colleague filed an accusation against him. Horner has strenuously disputed the allegations. He stated, “I’m confident in the process and working inside it.
“[I] deny any allegations made against me, and you know it’s… I simply continue to work inside that process until it is completed.”
Horner spoke with a lawyer in London last week, but has since focused on preparing for the Formula One season’s opening weekend, which begins on March 2 in Bahrain.
Despite the charges against him, Horner stated that he still had the support of his close relatives. “I have a very supportive family and a very supportive wife,” she said. “My focus has been on the job and the season ahead.” Horner has been married to Geri, a former Spice Girl, since 2015 and they have one son together.
Horner is adamant about his future at Red Bull and plans to stay with the defending constructors’ champions. When asked if his position was ever in doubt, he replied, “No, not at all.” Absolutely not. I am very devoted to this team; I developed it, and I convinced individuals to come and work here. I appreciate working with the team and the people. The team’s most valuable asset is its people, and this remains true.
