The 34-year-old product of Toulon, France had a fantastic tenure with the Argonauts, especially in 2023. His field goal conversion percentage of 37 out of 39 was impressive, and he led the CFL in both average and yardage gained from kickoffs. Not only was this a career-best, but it also cemented his status as a dependable kicker.
Bede’s Legacy in the CFL
As of 2024, Bede holds the highest kickoff average in the CFL for both individual seasons and his entire career. His impact on the field is highlighted by his 128-game career in the league and 83.6% field goal success rate. The former Laval University student’s skill is demonstrated not just in field goals but also in his punting performance.
